Modify the Platform Toolset property to LLVM (clang-cl), if it isn’t already set. Select the Configuration Properties > General property page. Enter the command (clang - version) to confirm if the Clang Compilers had already been installed. For GCC, this is a good resource (does not mention newest versions of GCC): : As of GCC 4.2, the compiler implements version 2.5 of the OpenMP standard and as of 4.4 it implements version 3.0 of the OpenMP standard. So you have to check the docs for your compiler version. How do I know if my compiler supports OpenMP? In fact, the clang compiler in Xcode can generate all the necessary code for OpenMP.
